Eligibility Criteria – Legal Aid Defence Counsel :
Deputy Chief Legal Aid Defence Counsel :
Experience: Minimum 7 years of practice in Criminal Law.
Communication: Excellent oral and written skills.
Legal Expertise: Strong proficiency in legal research, thorough understanding of Criminal Law, and ethical duties of a Defence counsel.
Leadership: Ability to lead teams and collaborate effectively.
Trial Experience: Must have handled at least 20 criminal trials in Sessions Court.
Technical Skills: Proficient in IT tools relevant for legal work.
Assistant Legal Aid Defence Counsel :
Experience: 1 to 3 years of practice in Criminal Law.
Communication: Good oral and written skills.
Legal Expertise: Skilled in legal research with understanding of ethical responsibilities.
Collaboration: Ability to work effectively in teams.
Technical Skills: Proficient in IT tools for professional tasks.
