Eligibility :

Civil Assistant Surgeon (Specialist) :
You must have ;
A PG Degree / DNB / Diploma (or equivalent) in the relevant specialty as per Schedule I & II of the MCI Act, 1956.
Active registration with the Andhra Pradesh Medical Council.

Civil Assistant Surgeon (General) :
You must have ;
An MBBS degree (or equivalent) as per Schedule I & II of the MCI Act, 1956.
Active registration with the Andhra Pradesh Medical Council.

Age Limit (as on 01 July 2026) :
OC candidates: Up to 42 years.
EWS / SC / ST / BC candidates: Up to 47 years.
Differently abled candidates: Up to 52 years.
Ex-servicemen: Get an extra 3 years relaxation over the limit for their category.

Salary :
Civil Assistant Surgeon (Specialist): ₹1,10,000 per month.
Civil Assistant Surgeon (General): ₹61,960 per month.

How Will Candidates Be Selected :
Selection is done using ;
Merit – based on eligibility and qualifications.
Reservation Rule – as per AP State and Subordinate Services guidelines.
Process ;
First, a merit list is made for all eligible applicants.
Then, the final selection list is prepared from this merit list, applying the reservation rules.
