CSIR SERC Recruitment 2026

Date of Walk-in Interview : 20/05/2026.
Reporting Time : 09:00 AM to 11:30 AM.

Educational Qualification :
Applicants must possess one of the following qualifications depending on the apprenticeship category ;

ITI Apprentices :
ITI certificate in the relevant trade under the NCVT pattern from a recognized institute.

Diploma Apprentices :
Diploma in Engineering or Technology in the relevant discipline from a recognized institution.

Additional Eligibility Conditions :
Diploma candidates should have passed their qualification in the years 2022, 2023, 2024, or 2025 only.
Candidates must be registered on the appropriate apprenticeship portals ;
Apprenticeship India portal (for ITI candidates).
NATS portal (for Diploma candidates).
Applicants should not have previously undergone or currently be undergoing apprenticeship training in any organization.
Candidates with one year or more of prior job experience are not eligible.
Final year students, sandwich course students, and private diploma holders are not eligible.

Age Criteria :
ITI Apprentices: Minimum age of 14 years.
Diploma Apprentices: Age between 18 and 24 years (as on the date of interview).

Age Relaxation :
SC/ST candidates: 5 years.
OBC (Non-Creamy Layer): 3 years.
PwD candidates: Up to 10 years (as per applicable rules).

Selection Procedure :
The selection process will include ;
Walk-in Interview scheduled on 20 May 2026 at 09:00 AM.
Shortlisting of candidates if applications exceed the required number, based on merit or criteria decided by the selection committee.
Verification of original documents.
Final selection will be based on interview performance and eligibility verification.

Application Process :
Candidates must first register on the respective apprenticeship portals ;
ITI candidates: Apprenticeship India.
Diploma candidates: NATS Portal.
After registration, candidates must complete the application process through the CSIR-SERC official website and attend the walk-in interview on the specified date with all required documents.

Important Instructions :
The apprenticeship engagement is purely for training purposes for a period of one year.
Completion of apprenticeship does not guarantee permanent employment.
Accommodation may be provided on a twin-sharing basis at nominal charges.
Candidates must bring original Aadhaar card and all relevant certificates for verification.
Any form of canvassing will lead to immediate disqualification.
The decision of CSIR-SERC regarding selection and recruitment will be final.
