Important Dates :
Written Test: 21-05-2026 (11:00 AM – 11:45 AM).
Reporting Time: 09:30 AM.
Last Entry: 10:30 AM (strictly no entry after this time).
Interview Dates: 25-05-2026 & 26-05-2026 (as scheduled by the institute).
Eligibility (qualification and age) will be assessed as on the date of written test/interview.

Educational Qualification :
Candidates must possess the required qualification for the respective post ;

Project Associate-I (PAT-I) :
B.E./B.Tech or M.Sc. in relevant disciplines (Leather, Chemical, Mechanical, Civil, Electrical, IT, Biotechnology, Polymer Science, Chemistry, Physics, etc.) with minimum 60% marks.
Desirable: Industrial or research experience in relevant field.

JRF / PAT-I (with NET/GATE) :
M.Sc./M.Pharm/B.Tech in relevant field with NET/GATE qualification required for JRF-level pay.

Senior Project Associate :
M.Tech/M.Sc./M.Pharm with at least 3 years of research experience in relevant area.

Project Assistant-II :
B.Sc./Diploma in relevant engineering or science discipline with prescribed minimum marks and relevant exposure (if applicable).

Age Limit (as on date of test/interview) :
JRF (NET/GATE): up to 28 years.
Project Associate-I / Project Assistant-II: up to 35 years.
Senior Project Associate: up to 40 years.

Age Relaxation :
SC/ST/PwBD/Women: 5 years.
OBC: 3 years.

Application Feen:
No application fee for any category.
No TA/DA will be provided for attending written test or interview.

Selection Process :
Stage 1: Written Test ;
Objective MCQ-based test (50 marks).
Subjects: Relevant discipline + General Awareness + Reasoning + Aptitude + English.
Duration: 45 minutes.
Conducted at CSIR–CLRI, Chennai.
Qualifying nature only.
Candidates with valid NET/GATE or equivalent national-level qualification are exempted from written test and can directly attend the interview.
Stage 2: Interview ;
Conducted on 25–26 May 2026.
Only shortlisted candidates (written test qualified or NET/GATE holders).
Final selection based on interview performance.

Emoluments :
Project Associate-I: ₹25,000 – ₹31,000 + HRA.
JRF (NET/GATE): ₹37,000 + HRA.
Senior Project Associate: ₹42,000 + HRA.
Project Assistant-II: ₹20,000 + HRA.

Important Instructions :
Posts are purely temporary and project-based.
Final-year students are not eligible.
Late reporting after 10:30 AM will not be allowed.
No TA/DA will be provided.
Any false information will lead to disqualification.
Selection is based on merit and interview performance.
