Educational Qualification :
Post: Mining (Post Code 10) ;
Degree in Mining Engineering with minimum ;
60% marks (General/OBC/EWS).
55% marks (SC/ST).
Must be a regular full-time degree only.

Mandatory Requirement ;
Valid GATE-2025 (MN Paper) score.
Candidates with CGPA/GPA must provide a university-issued percentage conversion certificate.

Age Limit (as on 30-04-2026) :
General / EWS: 30 years.
OBC (NCL): 33 years.
SC / ST: 35 years.
J&K Domicile candidates: 5 years relaxation.
Ex-Servicemen: As per Government of India rules (max cap 56 years).
CIL departmental employees: No upper age limit.

Application Fee :
General / OBC / EWS : ₹1,180 (₹1000 + GST)
SC / ST / CIL Employees : Exempted
Fee is non-refundable and payable online only.

Selection Process :
Selection is based only on GATE-2025 score (Mining Engineering).
Process ;
Shortlisting: Based on GATE score in 1:3 ratio (category-wise merit list).
Document Verification (DV): For shortlisted candidates.
Initial Medical Examination (IME): Conducted by CIL medical board.
Final Appointment: After successful DV & IME.
No written exam or interview is conducted.
Tie-Breaking Rules ;
If candidates have equal GATE scores ;
Higher marks/CGPA in Mining Engineering degree.
Older candidate (age preference).

Post Details :
Training Period: 1 year (probation-cum-training).
Final Designation: Officer (Mining), E-1 Grade.
Posting Location: Anywhere in India (including subsidiaries and coalfields).
Candidates must provide preferences, but final posting is decided by CIL.

Service Bond :
Mandatory service period: 60 months.
Bond amount: ₹3 lakh + GST.
Monthly deduction: ₹5,000 (refundable after completion without interest).
