Eligibility Criteria :
Banaras Hindu University (BHU) is inviting applications for academic and research-based project positions in the areas of Ancient Indian Studies, Sanskrit, and related disciplines. Candidates must have strong academic grounding and relevant subject expertise.

Research Associate :
Applicants should hold a Ph.D. in Ancient Indian History, Culture & Archaeology / Sanskrit / Ancient History / Indology or a related field. Alternatively, Postgraduates with UGC-NET/JRF qualification and proven research experience in areas such as Purāṇic literature, ancient Indian polity, historiography, or Sanskrit texts are eligible.

Project Assistant :
Candidates must possess a Postgraduate degree (minimum 55% marks) in relevant subjects such as Ancient Indian History, Culture & Archaeology / Sanskrit / Archaeology / Indology or allied disciplines. UGC-NET/JRF qualification is desirable.

Sanskrit Consultant :
Applicants should have an Acharya or M.A. in Sanskrit, along with strong proficiency in Purāṇic Sanskrit, translation work, and manuscript interpretation.

Salary / Stipend :
Research Associate : ₹30,000 per month.
Project Assistant : ₹22,500 per month.
Sanskrit Consultant : ₹8,000 per month.
