Eligibility Criteria :
Candidates must possess only the specified Diploma in Tooling or an equivalent qualification as mentioned below. Any other qualification, including B.E./B.Tech or unrelated diplomas, will not be considered. The qualification must be full-time with a minimum of 60% aggregate marks (first class). SC/ST and PwD candidates are eligible for a 5% relaxation in qualifying marks (minimum 55%). For CGPA-based systems, candidates must provide an official conversion formula or certificate to percentage.
A minimum of 10 years of post-qualification experience (PQE) in Tool Engineering is mandatory. The experience should be strictly in the Auto / Rail / Aerospace / Heavy Engineering / Manufacturing sectors, and only experience gained after obtaining the required qualification will be counted.
Essential Qualification :
Full-time First-Class Diploma (minimum 60%) in Tool Engineering or related disciplines such as Tool, Die & Mould Making, Tool Design, Tool & Die Engineering, Industrial Tool Manufacturing, or equivalent from a recognized institution.
Desirable Qualification :
Familiarity with advanced tooling methods and modern manufacturing technologies.
Required Experience :
Minimum 10 years of relevant post-qualification experience in Tool Engineering within core manufacturing industries (Automotive, Railways, Aerospace, Heavy Engineering, etc.).
Desirable Skills :
Practical exposure to tool design and manufacturing processes, working knowledge of CAD software (CATIA, Pro-E, SOLIDWORKS, AutoCAD), understanding of GD&T, engineering drawings, tolerances, and material specifications.
Job Responsibilities :
Design and development of jigs, fixtures, and gauges; support in SAP-based tool planning and procurement; manufacturing, calibration, and validation of tooling components; troubleshooting and maintenance of tools; coordination with production teams; inventory control and lifecycle management of tooling systems; documentation and revision control of technical drawings.
Place of Posting :
BEML manufacturing units located at Bangalore, KGF, Mysore, and Palakkad.
