BEL Trainee Officer Recruitment 2026

Application Fee :
Rs. 177 (Rs. 150 + 18% GST) for Trainee Officer (Library)-I.Applicants who are SC, ST, PwBD, or ex-servicemen are not required to pay the application cost.

Qualifications for eligibility :
A Bachelor of Library and Information Science (BLIS) or Master of Library and Information Science (MLIS) degree with a passing grade from an accredited university or UGC-approved college or institute.
Experience: Postgraduate or Graduate in Library and Information Science with at least six months of experience in the following fields after graduation:
a) Professional standards, practices, and library procedures.
b) An understanding of information collection techniques and systems.
c) Programming standards for libraries.
d) Effective database administration.
g) Upkeep of library materials.
g) Upkeep of the database system for computerized information.
g) An understanding of cataloguing, online searching, and library systems.
h) Oversight and upkeep of e-library electronic resources.

Salary/Stipend :
Depending on project requirements and individual performance, the trainee officer's original two-year contract may be extended for an additional one-year period, for a total tenure of three years. Candidates will receive a combined salary of Rs. 30,000 per month for the first year, Rs. 35,000 per month for the second year, and Rs. 40,000 per month for the third year if their contract is extended.
A combined sum of Rs. 12,000/-per year would be provided for expenses such as medical insurance premiums, clothing allowance, stitching charges, footwear allowance, etc., in addition to the compensation mentioned above. The additional sum will be paid in two equal installments; the first will be deducted from the first month's pay upon joining, and the second will be paid six months after the joining date.
