AAU Recruitment 2026 Eligibility Criteria :

Post-wise Eligibility Criteria :
Junior Research Fellow (JRF)
Candidates must possess M.Tech. or M.Sc. in Geoinformatics, Remote Sensing & GIS, or Geomatics from a recognized university or institution.
Applicants should have a strong academic background in geospatial technologies, remote sensing applications, GIS mapping, and related research fields.
Preference may be given to candidates having experience in agricultural research, spatial data analysis, or research project implementation.

Senior Research Fellow (SRF) :
Candidates should have completed M.Sc. (Agriculture) in Agronomy or Soil Science from a recognized university.
Applicants having research experience in crop production, soil fertility management, water management, or agricultural field experiments will be preferred.
Good knowledge of research methodologies, field data collection, and scientific report preparation will be an added advantage.
Contractual Research Fellow (Plant Pathology Project)
Candidates should possess B.Sc. (Hons.) Agriculture or M.Sc. (Agriculture) in Plant Pathology from a recognized institution.
Applicants with practical knowledge of plant disease diagnosis, crop protection techniques, laboratory experiments, and field trials will receive preference.
Experience in agricultural research projects related to plant pathology will be beneficial.

Project Assistant :
Candidates who are currently pursuing or have completed M.Sc. (Agriculture) in Soil Science or Agronomy are eligible to apply.

Contractual Research Fellow (Tobacco Project) :
Candidates must possess a Diploma in Agriculture or Diploma in Horticulture from a recognized institution.

Experience in agricultural research or field-based projects will be considered desirable.

Senior Project Associate (SPA) :
Candidates must possess a Ph.D. in Biotechnology, Plant Breeding, Plant Biotechnology, Genetics, or any other relevant discipline from a recognized university.
Applicants should have research experience, published scientific work, and expertise in biotechnology or plant breeding-related projects.
Candidates with experience in advanced laboratory techniques and project management will be preferred.

Project Associate-I (PA-I) :
Candidates should have completed M.Sc. (Agriculture) in Plant Molecular Biology, Biotechnology, Genetics & Plant Breeding, or an equivalent relevant discipline.
Candidates possessing NET/GATE qualification will be eligible for higher fellowship as per project guidelines.
Applicants should have knowledge of molecular biology techniques, plant genetics, biotechnology research, and laboratory procedures.

AAU Recruitment 2026 Age Limit :
Candidates applying for the AAU Walk-in Recruitment 2026 must satisfy the prescribed age criteria applicable to the respective post. Age relaxation will be provided to reserved category candidates as per Government of India, ICAR, and Anand Agricultural University rules.

The maximum age limit for male candidates is 35 years for most research positions.
The maximum age limit for female candidates is 40 years for most research positions.
For the Project Associate-I (PA-I) post, candidates up to 50 years of age are eligible to apply.

AAU Recruitment 2026 Salary Details :
Selected candidates under AAU Recruitment 2026 will receive an attractive monthly fellowship based on the respective project and post. The fellowship has been fixed according to the project funding agency norms, and eligible candidates will also receive House Rent Allowance (HRA) wherever applicable.

Junior Research Fellow (JRF): ₹37,000 per month + HRA for the first and second year, which increases to ₹42,000 per month + HRA from the third year onwards.
Senior Research Fellow (SRF): ₹37,000 per month + HRA during the initial two years and ₹42,000 per month + HRA from the third year onwards.
Contractual Research Fellow (Plant Pathology Project): Fixed monthly fellowship ranging from ₹20,000 to ₹25,000 depending on qualification and project norms.
Project Assistant: Fixed monthly remuneration of ₹15,000.
Contractual Research Fellow (Tobacco Project): Fixed monthly fellowship of ₹16,000.
Senior Project Associate (SPA): Monthly fellowship of ₹42,000 along with 9% HRA.
Project Associate-I (PA-I): ₹37,000 per month + HRA for NET/GATE qualified candidates, while non-NET/GATE candidates will receive ₹30,000 per month + HRA.

AAU Recruitment 2026 Selection Process :
