Nursing Officer – Eligibility Criteria, Pay Scale & Application Details :
Educational Qualification :
Essential Qualification – I :
Candidates must possess B.Sc. (Hons.) Nursing or B.Sc. Nursing from an institute/university recognized by the Indian Nursing Council (INC) or State Nursing Council. Alternatively, candidates with B.Sc. (Post-Certificate) / Post-Basic B.Sc. Nursing from a recognized institute/university are also eligible.
Applicants must be registered as a Nurse and Midwife with the State Nursing Council or Indian Nursing Council.
Essential Qualification – II :
Candidates with a Diploma in General Nursing & Midwifery (GNM) from an INC/State Nursing Council recognized institute/board are eligible, provided they are registered as a Nurse and Midwife with the State/Indian Nursing Council.
In addition, they must have two years of experience in a minimum 50-bedded hospital after acquiring the prescribed qualification. The required experience must be obtained only after completion of the course residency period, declaration of results, and registration with the State/Indian Nursing Council.
Salary / Pay Scale :
Pay Level: Level-07 in the Pay Matrix.
Pre-revised Structure: Pay Band-2 ₹9,300–₹34,800 with Grade Pay ₹4,600
Additional allowances will be admissible as per Central Government rules applicable to employees of similar status posted at respective Institutes/Hospitals.
Age Limit (As on 16 March 2026) :
Minimum Age: 18 years.
Maximum Age: 30 years.
Age relaxation will be provided as per Government norms:
SC/ST: 5 years.
OBC: 3 years.
PwBD: 10/13/15 years (as applicable).
Ex-Servicemen and Central Government Civilian Employees: As per rules detailed in the General Conditions.
Application Fee :
General/OBC : ₹3,000.
SC/ST/EWS : ₹2,400.
Persons with Disabilities : Exempted.
Mode of Payment: Debit Card, Credit Card, or Net Banking.
The application fee once paid is non-refundable. However, the fee paid by SC/ST candidates will be refunded after verification of results as per the prescribed guidelines.
