AIIMS Delhi Professor Recruitment 2026

Educational Qualification :

A medical qualification included in Schedule I & II or Part II of the Third Schedule of the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956.

MD/MS or an equivalent postgraduate qualification in the relevant specialty.
For super-specialty disciplines:
M.Ch. (Surgical Super-Specialties)
D.M. (Medical Super-Specialties)
2/3/5/6 year recognized course or equivalent qualification.

Experience :
14 years teaching and/or research experience after MD/MS
OR
12 years teaching and/or research experience after 2/5 year D.M./M.Ch.
OR
11 years teaching and/or research experience for candidates with 3/6 year D.M./M.Ch.
Experience must be obtained from a recognized institution in the concerned specialty.

Application Fee :
General/OBC – ₹3,000.
EWS – ₹2,400.
SC/ST – ₹2,400 (Refundable for candidates who appear in the interview).
PwBD – Exempted.

Age Limit :
Contractual Mode: Up to 68 years.
Direct Recruitment: Up to 50 years.

Age Relaxation:
SC/ST – 5 years.
OBC – 3 years.
PwBD – 5 years.
Government Servants – 5 years.
Ex-Servicemen – 5 years.

Pay Scale :
Professor: Pay Level 14-A (₹1,68,900 – ₹2,20,400) under 7th CPC.
Non-Practicing Allowance (NPA) applicable for eligible medical posts.
Other allowances as per Government of India rules.
