AIIMS CRE-5 Recruitment 2026

Eligibility Criteria :
The eligibility conditions for CRE-5 differ based on the post and the participating institute. The requirements listed below represent commonly notified positions. Candidates must carefully cross-check their eligibility with the specific post and institute mentioned in Annexure-I of the official notification, as each institute follows its own recruitment norms.

Educational Qualification :

Assistant Dietician (Pay Level 6) : M.Sc. (Food and Nutrition) with 2 years’ relevant experience.

Dietician (Pay Level 7) : M.Sc. in Nutrition-related disciplines with 3 years’ experience in a 200-bed hospital.

Junior Administrative Officer (Pay Level 6) : Graduate degree with computer proficiency.

Assistant (ICMR) (Pay Level 6) : Bachelor’s degree (3 years) with MS Office skills.

Junior Administrative Assistant / LDC (Pay Level 2) : 12th pass with typing speed of 35 wpm (English) or 30 wpm (Hindi).

Upper Division Clerk (Pay Level 4) : Graduate degree with typing speed of 35 wpm (English) or 30 wpm (Hindi).

Junior Engineer (Civil/Electrical) (Pay Level 6) : Engineering degree in relevant discipline.

Assistant Engineer (Civil/Electrical) (Pay Level 7) : Engineering degree with 5 years’ experience.

Pharmacist / Pharmacist Grade II (Pay Level 5) : Diploma in Pharmacy with valid registration under Pharmacy Act.

Dispensing Attendant (Pay Level 4) : Diploma in Pharmacy with pharmacist registration.

Junior Medical Lab Technologist (Pay Level 5 : 10+2 (Science) + DMLT (2 years) + 1 year experience OR B.Sc. MLT.

Hospital Attendant Grade III (Pay Level 1) : Matriculation with Certificate in Hospital Services.

Technologist (OT) / OT Assistant (Pay Level 5) : B.Sc. in OT/Anesthesia Technology or related field.

Store Keeper (Pay Level 6) : Graduation with PG Diploma/Degree in Material Management or 3 years’ experience.

Cashier (Pay Level 4) : B.Com with 2 years’ experience in government accounts.

Junior Accounts Officer (Pay Level 6) : B.Com with 2 years’ government accounting experience.

Senior Nursing Officer / Staff Nurse : As per institute-specific recruitment rules.

CSSD Technician (Pay Level 6) : B.Sc. in Microbiology/Medical Technology with 3 years’ CSSD experience.

Assistant Security Officer : As per Group 28 scheme including PST requirements.

Fire Technician / Security cum Fire Assistant : Basic academic qualification with PET & PST standards.

Age Limit :
The age criteria are calculated based on the closing date of online registration, i.e., 30 June 2026. Generally, Group B posts have an upper age limit of 30 years, while Group C posts range from 18 to 30 years. Certain specialized or higher-level positions may allow upper limits extending up to 35 or 40 years depending on recruitment rules.

Age Relaxation :
SC/ST : 5 years.
OBC (NCL) : 3 years.
PwBD : 10 years.
Ex-Servicemen : Service period + 3 years.
Central Govt. Employees (Group B, 3+ years service : 5 years.
Central Govt. Employees (Group C UR) : Up to 40 years.
Central Govt. Employees (Group C OBC) : Up to 43 years.
Central Govt. Employees (Group C SC/ST) : Up to 45 years.
J&K Domicile UR (Group C) : 5 years.
J&K Domicile OBC (Group C) : 8 years.
J&K Domicile SC/ST (Group C) : 10 years.
Widows/Divorced/Judicially Separated (UR) : Up to 35 years.
Widows/Divorced/Judicially Separated (OBC) : Up to 38 years.
Widows/Divorced/Judicially Separated (SC/ST) : Up to 40 years.
Note: Candidates belonging to SC/ST/OBC categories applying under unreserved vacancies will not receive age relaxation benefits. Central institutes such as AIIMS, ICMR, LHMC, and others follow standard Government of India service rules for employees.

Application Fee :
The application fee is charged separately for each group applied for. Candidates applying for multiple groups must pay individually for each.
General / OBC : ₹3,000.
SC / ST / EWS : ₹2,400.
PwBD : Exempted.
Payment can be made online via debit card, credit card, or net banking. The fee is strictly non-refundable under all circumstances. However, SC/ST candidates who appear in the examination will receive a refund after result declaration.

Salary / Pay Scale :
The pay structure is governed by the 7th CPC Pay Matrix, with variations depending on post and institute.
Level 1 : ₹18,000 Hospital Attendant, Cook, Nursing Attendant.
Level 2 : ₹19,900 LDC, Junior Assistant, Wireman.
Level 3 : ₹21,700 Library Attendant Grade II.
Level 4 : ₹25,500 Cashier, DEO, Electrician.
Level 5 : ₹29,200 Pharmacist, OT Technologist, Lab Technician.
Level 6 : ₹35,400 Junior Engineer, Store Keeper, Assistant Dietician.
Level 7 : ₹44,900 Dietician, Assistant Engineer, Librarian.
Employees are also entitled to allowances such as DA, HRA, TA, and others as per applicable institute rules.

Selection Process :
The CRE-5 recruitment process is conducted in multiple stages, and progression to each stage depends on qualification in the previous one.
Stage 1 – Online Registration: Submission through www.aiimsexams.ac.in by 30 June 2026
Stage 2 – Application Status Update: Published on 9 July 2026
Stage 3 – CBT Examination: Scheduled tentatively from 25–27 July 2026 across India
Stage 4 – Skill Test (if required): Conducted for qualifying candidates, primarily in Delhi/NCR
Stage 5 – Choice Filling: Candidates select institute preferences; failure to submit choices leads to disqualification
Stage 6 – Seat Allocation: Based on merit, eligibility, and preferences
Stage 7 – Document Verification: Conducted by respective institutes
Stage 8 – Joining Formalities: Selected candidates must report as scheduled; non-reporting leads to cancellation

How to Apply :
Applications must be submitted only through the official online portal www.aiimsexams.ac.in. No offline applications are accepted.
Complete One-Time Registration (OTR) if not already registered.
Log in and access the CRE-5 application form.
Enter all required details including personal, academic, and experience information.
Upload scanned images of photograph, signature, and thumb impression as per guidelines.
Select preferred examination centres.
Pay the required application fee online.
Submit the form and download the registration slip.
Upload NOC by 6 July 2026 (for government employees).
Check application status on 9 July 2026.

Required Documents :
Candidates must ensure all documents are prepared in advance, as no additional submission time will be provided during verification.
Registration slip and admit card.
Proof of date of birth (Matriculation certificate or equivalent).
Valid category certificate (SC/ST/OBC/EWS).
PwBD certificate (minimum 40% disability).
EWS certificate (issued between 01 April 2026 and 30 June 2026).
No Objection Certificate (if employed in government/PSU/autonomous body).
Academic certificates.
Experience certificates with detailed job description and pay details.
Any additional documents required by the respective institute.
