All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), Bhubaneswar has officially released the AIIMS Bhubaneswar Senior Resident Recruitment 2026 Notification through Advertisement No. DEANAC-25012/1/2023-DEAN ACADEMIC/5842 dated 04 July 2026, inviting online applications from eligible Indian citizens for the recruitment of 83 Senior Resident (Non-Academic) posts.
The recruitment has been announced under the Government of India Residency Scheme, 1992, and offers an excellent opportunity for qualified postgraduate medical professionals to work in one of India's premier healthcare and medical education institutions.
Through this recruitment drive, AIIMS Bhubaneswar will appoint Senior Residents (Non-Academic) in 34 different clinical, para-clinical, pre-clinical, and super-specialty departments, providing candidates with advanced clinical exposure, academic experience, research opportunities, and professional growth.
Candidates possessing the prescribed MD, MS, DNB, DM, MCh, MDS, or equivalent postgraduate qualification in the relevant specialty are eligible to apply, subject to fulfilling all other eligibility conditions mentioned in the official notification.

The vacancies are available in major departments including General Medicine, General Surgery, Anaesthesiology, Anatomy, Biochemistry, Cardiology, Dermatology, Endocrinology, ENT, Forensic Medicine & Toxicology (FMT), Hospital Administration, Microbiology, Neonatology, Neurology, Obstetrics & Gynaecology, Ophthalmology, Orthopaedics, Paediatrics, Psychiatry, Pharmacology, Radiodiagnosis, Radiation Oncology, Surgical Oncology, Gastroenterology, Trauma & Emergency Medicine, and several other specialized disciplines.
The notified vacancies consist of Fresh Vacancies as well as Backlog Vacancies for various reservation categories including UR, OBC, SC, ST, and EWS.

AIIMS Bhubaneswar Senior Resident Recruitment 2026 Educational Qualification :
Candidates applying for AIIMS Bhubaneswar Senior Resident Recruitment 2026 must fulfill the educational qualifications prescribed for the respective department.
Applicants should possess a recognized MD, MS, DNB, DM, MCh, MDS, or equivalent postgraduate medical qualification in the concerned specialty from a recognized institution.
Department-specific qualifications must be strictly fulfilled as prescribed in the official recruitment notification.
Candidates appearing in their qualifying examination may also apply provisionally, provided the final result is declared on or before 31 August 2026.
The mandatory residency tenure should also be completed on or before 31 August 2026.

AIIMS Bhubaneswar Senior Resident Recruitment 2026 Application Fee :
Candidates belonging to the General and OBC categories are required to pay an application fee of Rs. 1,770/- (Rs. 1,500 + 18% GST), excluding applicable bank transaction charges.
Applicants belonging to the SC, ST, and EWS categories must pay Rs. 1,416/- (Rs. 1,200 + 18% GST), excluding transaction charges.
Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PwBD) are completely exempted from payment of the application fee.
The application fee should be paid only through the prescribed online payment methods such as Debit Card, Credit Card, or Net Banking.
Candidates applying for multiple departments (maximum three) must submit separate online applications and pay the prescribed application fee separately for each department.
Once paid, the application fee is non-refundable and non-transferable under any circumstances.
AIIMS Bhubaneswar Senior Resident Recruitment 2026 Age Limit :
The maximum age limit prescribed for the Senior Resident (Non-Academic) posts is 45 years as on 22 July 2026, which is the last date for submission of the online application.
Age relaxation will be provided according to the Government of India reservation rules.
Candidates belonging to the Scheduled Caste (SC) and Scheduled Tribe (ST) categories are eligible for 5 years of age relaxation.
Other Backward Class (OBC) candidates are entitled to 3 years of age relaxation.
Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PwBD) are eligible for age relaxation of 10 years (General), 13 years (OBC), and 15 years (SC/ST).

AIIMS Bhubaneswar Senior Resident Recruitment 2026 Salary Details :
Selected candidates will receive salary under the 7th Central Pay Commission (CPC).
The basic pay will be Rs. 67,700/- per month under Pay Matrix Level-11.
Eligible candidates will also receive Non-Practising Allowance (NPA) as admissible under Government rules.
In addition to the basic salary, selected candidates will be entitled to Dearness Allowance (DA), House Rent Allowance (HRA), Transport Allowance, and other admissible benefits according to AIIMS and Central Government norms.
Salary and allowances will be paid as per the prevailing service rules applicable to Senior Residents of AIIMS Bhubaneswar.
