Assam APSC Recruitment 2026

Eligibility Criteria :

Nationality & Domicile :
Applicants must be Indian citizens as defined under Articles 5 to 8 of the Constitution of India and must be permanent residents of Assam.
Candidates are required to upload either ;
Permanent Resident Certificate (PRC) issued in Assam for education/employment purpose, or
Employment Exchange Registration Certificate issued in Assam.

Educational Qualification :
Junior Engineer (Electrical) : 3-year Diploma in Electrical Engineering from an institute recognised by AICTE.

Age Limit :
The age limit will be calculated as on 01/01/2026.
General (UR) : 18 to 40 years.
OBC / MOBC : Up to 43 years (3 years relaxation).
SC / ST: Up to 45 years (5 years relaxation).
Ex-Servicemen : Maximum 42 years for UR category with additional relaxation for reserved categories
Persons with Benchmark Disability (PwBD) Additional 10 years relaxation over applicable category limit.

Application Fee :
General : ₹297.20.
OBC / MOBC : ₹197.20.
SC / ST / BPL / PwBD : ₹47.20.
The above fee includes processing charges applicable through CSC-SPV.

Pay Scale & Benefits :
Pay Scale : ₹14,000 – ₹70,000 per month.
Grade Pay : ₹8,700.
Pay Band : Pay Band-2.
Allowances : Other allowances as admissible under Assam Government rules.

Selection Process :
Written Examination / Screening Test : Detailed examination scheme and selection process will be notified separately by APSC.
Interview / Viva-Voce : Shortlisted candidates may be called for interview/viva-voce.
Document Verification : Candidates must produce original certificates and self-attested copies during verification.

Documents Required During Verification :
HSLC/Class X or XII certificate for proof of age.
Diploma mark sheets and certificates.
Category/Caste certificate (if applicable).
BPL/PwBD certificates (if applicable).
PRC or Employment Exchange Registration Certificate.
Small Family Norms declaration.
Valid photo ID proof and other supporting documents.

How to Apply :
Visit the official APSC recruitment portal.
Complete One Time Registration (OTR) using a valid email ID and mobile number.
Log in and fill in the online application form carefully.
Upload photograph, signature and all required documents in prescribed format.
Verify all entered details using the preview option.
Pay the applicable application fee online.
Submit the application form and keep a printout for future reference.
Candidates may also use Common Service Centres (CSCs) for online application submission if required.
Application Mode: Online only through the APSC Recruitment Portal.

Important Instructions for Candidates :
Candidates must ensure that they fulfil all eligibility conditions before applying.
Applications submitted with false information or invalid documents are liable to be rejected.
No request for change of category or personal details will be entertained after final submission.
Candidates must carry valid photo ID proof during examination/interview.
Only certificates issued by competent authorities will be accepted.
